Dan still remembers when an angry seventh grade teacher labeled him an "iconoclast" (which Webster's defines as "one who attacks cherished beliefs, traditional institutions, etc., as being based on error or superstition"). The label stuck. Now, many decades later, he continues to challenge his clients and staff to effect positive change by looking at strategies, technologies, governance, service delivery and attendant conventional wisdom in creative new ways. Prior to PTI, Dan:
Dan's articles on effectively managing technology have appeared in Computerworld, InformationWeek, and the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce. He’s also been a featured speaker on technology planning at national and regional conferences for local government organizations. On the other side of the work/life balance, Dan likes to create odd works of art, perform onstage in some of Seattle’s funky fringe theaters, exercise, meditate, travel, and reflect on how his three kids have morphed into increasingly autonomous young adults that somehow still seem to actually enjoy hanging out with him.TOP
